How to Store Brownies for up to 6 months

Every time I pull a pan of delicious gooey homemade brownies out of the oven, I think to myself, why don’t I bake at home more often? Well, it turns out children and grandchildren, jobs, the desire (maybe not the motivation) to exercise, and about a million other things get in the way. Lucky for us, brownies freeze really well!

Here are some tips and tricks to keep your brownies fresher, longer, so when you’re ready to indulge or you need to bribe your kids, you’ll have them ready!

Slightly Under Bake Them: If you’re intending to bake a batch of brownies to freeze, you can slightly under bake them to make them fudgier/moister, keeping them longer in the freezer, up to six months.

Wrap ‘em!: If you wrap your brownies well, they will safely freeze for nearly 6 months in the back of your freezer. If using a disposable aluminum tray, wrap it tightly with plastic wrap then foil. If you baked your brownies in a pan, remove the uncut block of brownies, wrap in plastic wrap, foil, then place in a large Ziploc freezer bag. Date the wrapping with a sharpie! Note: the tighter the seal, the better, as brownies are very porous and will pick up the odors of the foods around them.

Leave them Uncut: An uncut batch of brownies will freeze better so leave the ones you don’t eat uncut. Bonus! Frozen brownies cut cleaner and smoother than hot or room temperature ones.

And as always, if you can't be bothered, let us do the baking for you! We have brownies, cookies, healthy natural food bars, vegan, gluten free, keto and sugar-free options, so that everyone in your family can enjoy!
